History of Manchester LETS:
The original Manchester LETS was founded in 1992 with 120 members, trading in Bobbins, and rose to about 550 members, before it folded in interesting circumstances some years later. Contacts, Offers & Wants were published in an A5 booklet, and the database behind the website in this system (being relaunched in 2020) includes the same kind of information, with contact details visible to members when logged in.

A Case Study of Manchester’s Local Currency Networks", published by: The International Journal of Community Currency Research IJCCR) • Some pages from this book can be read online HERE.
